About Assam Foundation

Assam Foundation, Inc. — EIN 02-0731059 | 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit

Assam Foundation, Inc. is an independent United States 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit. We exist to support charity and development work in Assam and Northeast India — with care, transparency, and respect for the communities we serve.

Our work is our own. We raise funds independently and use them for practical needs: disaster recovery, education, livelihoods, community infrastructure, and cultural well-being. We are not a chapter or affiliate of any other organization.

Federal Tax ID / EIN: 02-0731059. Contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by U.S. law. Please consult your tax advisor.

How we work

We prefer help that is specific, local, and accountable. That means listening to what families actually need after a flood or a hard season — a livable room, seed and tools, a child back in class — rather than imposing a distant template. We aim to be careful with money, clear about what we do not yet know, and steady over time.
